Lighting really tried her best as a parent. She encouraged her son in doing anything that peaked his interest and was overall just incredibly supportive. Lighting’s Dad had pushed her to be the very best. He made sure she trained hard and got good grades. He would ignore her or just scorn her when she didn’t get first place in races. For years, all she ever wanted was his approval. She didn’t want that for her kid. She wanted him to have the most love and support in the world. and she would give it to him. Along with her husband DD, of course. Despite Lightings encouragement to explore interests, Freezer still got into flying competitively. Lighting, who had retired and became a coach for foals, became his coach. They got incredibly close while he trained. Pictured here is after Freezer Burn won his first gold metal.
