yes, Aku has really named umbra and he is a draconequus.
 
the reason he was disguised was that he wants to blend in but after seeing discord he just sticks to his pony form for a while because he does not want to get Luna mad, but after discord found out, he showed himself and explained his life.
 
.he’s younger than discord but close to the same age as Luna.
 
.he’s not a god but has a job of watching over what goes on at night and see if there needs a bit more fun or if someone needs help, and is only in his home but can use this power anywhere he travels.
 
his parents are paraformers but of course, are draconequus though their magic is not on the same level as discord.
 
umbra came to Equestria just simply because he wants to travel to other places.
 
About draconequus:
 
most draconequus is not as powerful as discord, their magic is based on what they are good at, like cute marks in ponies, discord happens to be more powerful than normal.
 
discord own history and how he came to equestria is unknown even to himself, perhaps his parents were just traveling around when a storm hit and discord was just found all alone, but it’s actually all a blur so he is unsure.
