The ultimate couple of couples
 
Honestly this was just supposed to be a warmup sketch of a new character design (Lolly up there), but then it felt kinda empty to post a sole headshot sketch… Then I added Bluebell, and then Bon Bon came along too, and lastly did Lyra. So… Family reunion!!!
 
I was kind of inspired by WanderingPegasus ‘s take on Bon Bon and Lyra when drawing them, just some tiny itsy bitsy details~ Also I was inspired by ItsTechTock ‘s HC on them when I drew that bowtie on Lyra! It’s just… perfection.
 
Lyra Heartstrings is a musician and and anthropology enthusiast, while Bonnibell Heartstrings, or Bon Bon, is your regular ordinary local confectioner housewife… What? Secret Agent? Pff nooo.
 
The new girl in the middle is Lollipop Swirl, the youngest daughter of the couple. Her personality is literally Candy Store from heathers. That’s all you need to know. I have nothing else to say. She’s the queen of mean of her candyland kingdom (read as highschool) with her polka dot scrunchie tiara.
 
And, as y’all already know, the sweet Bluebell
 
 
The sibling relationship is kinda… Complex. Lollipop is a student at Ponyville High and their one and only… Regina George. Don’t be fooled by her sugary pretty pink looks, she’s… Pretty rotten inside. She often manages to get away with stuff she does since her older sister is a teacher. Not that Bluebell notices her keys missing every now and then, or is in the least aware of her lil’ sister’s reputation as school. I mean it’s great she has a lot of friends right??
 
Also Bluebell totally has a “bad cop” bowtie for when she needs to scold a student.
 
Tho Lollipop manages to play the good girl around most… Bon Bon sees right through her. Mom and daughter have some sort of passive agressive relationship and Lolly kinda acts more like… herself around her. And will resort to… special measurementes from old resources to teach her daughter a lesson if she happens to cross the line and she hears about it.
