Let’s also remember that Shutterbug is genderfluid and goes by all pronouns, so I will be using some/all pronouns when referring to them!
Bon Bon and Lyra Heartstrings met when they were young adults, with Lyra just out of the private arts academy her parents paid a fortune to send her to and with Bon Bon in a witness protection program after a rogue agent made an attempt on their ex-colleague’s lives. It started out as most roommate situations do, with the two simply existing in the same space, but not knowing much about the other. It wasn’t as if they weren’t interested in being friends, but with Lyra constantly running out of the apartment to pursue the interests her parents didn’t know about and Bon Bon staying in out of paranoia that she would be found out, their schedules didn’t always line up. But after a few months, the tables turned and they were the closest of friends, usually spending any free time they had with each other, whether it was a picnic, going bowling, taking a walk, or sitting on a bench in Ponyville Square while they chatted about everything and nothing. It seemed pretty clear to everyone around them that there was chemistry between Lyra and Bon Bon, and the two agreed, but didn’t put a label on their relationship for the longest time because of Lyra’s overbearing, racist, and homophobic parents. When Lyra was finally able to stand strong and tell her mother and father that she was in love with Bon Bon, they simply sneered at the fact that not only was their daughter dating an earth pony, but a mare. It broke Lyra’s heart, but she gave them a choice: either accept them as they were or lose their daughter and any chance to meet a grandchild, if Lyra and Bon Bon chose to have one. They refused and shut Lyra out, making her cling that much harder to Bon Bon, the only family she had left.
When Ponyville was attacked by a Bugbear, Bon Bon’s secret was out and it was clear that there was plenty Lyra didn’t know about her partner. She felt betrayed and completely shocked, unable to believe that Bon Bon had kept something so big from her. But after a long talk, and realizing that Bon was still the exact same pony as she had been before (albeit a much more badass, hardcore mare than she had previously believed), the two made up and Bon promised to never keep a secret from Lyra again. They were married by Mayor Mare about a year after, in a ceremony very similar to Cranky and Matilda’s. They only wanted their closest friends to attend (and the local princess with her friends) since neither had family to invite. The wedding was a humble event, but everything they had both dreamed of.
When it became clear that they were both interested in having a foal of their own, they quickly decided on the cheaper option for conceiving a child. Without the budget for a “gender-bending” spell or a magical alternative, Lyra and Bon Bon turned to a more traditional choice: a sperm donor. They knew nothing of the donor, except for a small slip of paper in the file that said “pegasus, male”. Lyra was anything but interested in becoming pregnant or carrying a child, which was more than fine with her wife. Bon Bon carried the foal to term and once they were born, both mothers agreed that ‘Peach Fuzz’ was the perfect name for such a small tan ball of fluff. Peachy was absolutely spoiled rotten by Mama Lyra, who struggles to say no because of her own strict upbringing and not wanting to force her child into a box. They both made sure that their foal felt able to communicate their interests and want to try new things, whether it be music, athletics, or art. It was later realized, around the time that Peach Fuzz got their cutie mark in photography, that they wanted to change their name to Shutterbug. All Lyra and Bon Bon could do was tell their precious baby that the name they gave him was a gift and he didn’t need to keep it if something felt better.

I know that purple line on the family tree is new in my drawings, it just means that Bon Bon carried a child from a sperm donor rather than Shutterbug being biologically both of theirs~
