This is part of an art trade between me and Lady-Limule
where she drew my ponysona and I in turn drew her kirin or qilin, which ever you like to call it. I actually went full out on this one, I did actually put all my skills into trying to make it look as realistically as I could in trying to do the fur and that scales on the legs. This was the first real time that I used a texture brush that I created myself it came out a lot better then what I had hopped. the only real issue I had was how I designed the neck and a little more work in doing the mane look more flowy. I sued the smudge tool to add a sense of perspective and motion blur on the rear leg, mane and tail. The background turned out much better then what I had hopped and wasn’t as painstaking as it usually was for me with trying out doing silhouettes before actually giving form to anything even if I didn’t really planned to have a as define as it turned out to be. All in all it only took about 12 hours to do this.
