So I thought I’d draw Chi at different stages to present. Here she is ages 1-3, 4-7, 8-15, 16-present.
Chihiro can grow her hair very straight and long. Momma Rarity used to LOVE to play with Chi’s hair….which is part of the reason it is now short again. Chihiro is extremely friendly with her family but she does rebel against Rarity’s obsession with her being girly. Rarity is a little controlling that way and Chihiro tolerates it but is ultimately headstrong and will do things she wants to do.
One year, Celestia invited her ex-Discord to Canterlot to discuss Ethereal’s magic training. Of course, it was the Grand Galloping Gala so Rarity insisted on coming with Chihiro.
While there, Chi broke off from her mum and wandered into the garden to pick/eat berries. There, she came across another filly being fussed over by Countess Coloratura. That filly was Coda Da Capo. She had been hired to play at the event and she was not impressed by the gaudy lights of Canterlot.
Chihiro stalked Coda the whole party and eventually, the latter caught on and happily acknowledged her. This was the beginning of Chihiro’s first love story.
Chihiro was part of the Ponytones in Ponyville so she was excited when her Canterlot crush asked her to do a duet on her newest album. She spent a month in the Royal Suite in Canterlot, singing and partying with the Elite and her gf Coda.
Who is Coda? Coda Da Capo is the daughter of mega-celebrity Countess Coloratura and Leader of the Wonderbolts Spitfire. She’s an only child and Canterlot’s new favorite diva. She’s known for lavish parties and is regularly traveling the world on performances.
On and off over the next few years Chihiro went on tour with the bombastic Coda. Chihiro was only 17 so she wasn’t legally able to attend some parties but Coda who was 19 thrived. She was a party girl. Chihiro found herself sitting alone in hotel rooms waiting for Coda to come back [usually drunk].
One day, however, Coda brought a stallion back to the room she shared with Chihiro and that was a big no-no for a multitude of reasons.
Chihiro rarely harbors hateful feelings towards people but she’s 100% done with Coda.
“The bitch can catch these paw.”
Unfortunately, both Chi and Coda are popular singers in Equestria, so they still run into each other at events. Coda still taunts Chihiro and they now hate each other.
