The last design from the first batch for my shipping grid adoptables :)
 
One again a design where I was given pretty much free reigns,aside from being asked for her to be female. So I may have gona a bit… outside of the expected? At least, what I initially expect when I hear RarityxBlueblood nextgen. And that’s why I did it, I wanted to do something that wasn’t just what I immedietly thought of.
 
So, she’s a really pale grey, because Rarity and BB doesn’t lend themselves to many options in the coat color department. For her mane colors, I decided to go with a gold-to-pink look, because I thought it looked pretty, fit with her parentage, and fit with the “theme” of her design, or whatever to call it.
 
Speaking of the theme-or-whatever-to-call-it. I didn’t feel like just a proper princess-archetype looking design was very interesting? But in return, I implied personality with her design that may or may not be what the buyer had in mind for the character. Then again, they didn’t give me any directions aside from female…. so I hope they’ll like it?
 
I went for a bit of an… angsty teen look I guess =P It felt like trying to rebel against her parents would be a character-trait that would make sense for a child of Prince Blueblood (snobby, cares about status more than anything) and Rarity (very focused on being lady-like). So the shaved side of the head, with the rest falling over her eye, and the short and messy-ish tail, alongside the messy eye-shadow - I’m trying to make her look appealing while still not being at all a style Rarity would like (or at least, what she’d think Rarity wouldn’t like, let’s not forget her punk look). I also gave her a chain and lock necklace, because it helped break up her very uniform coat, and wasn’t a “pretty” dainty necklace so it’d fit the theme.
 
The reason I felt this palette fit with this idea, is becuase it really doesn’t. She’s bright and pink and gold, when you (or I, at least) expect a dark and gloomy palette. Her aesthetic doesn’t match the personality I’ve portrayed here at all, and that’s fun. The hint of gold and not just pink, helps bring to mind the idea of gilded cages.
 
As for the names -“Sanguine” is once again a play on it not fitting her at all, and is something that sounds pretty that her parents would have picked out for her. Noblesse also fits with this theme, as it’s supposed to be a play of Blueblood’s name -blue blood, noble. “Golden Chains” however, is an edgy sounding name, that I felt would be something she’d pick out for herself. Also again fits with the idea of gilded cages.
 
 
And that’s all I have to say I think. Maybe a bit different than what you initially had in mind, but I hope you like her! Thank you for the support <3
