Hestia is the soft-spoken daughter of Princess Luna and Twinkleshine. She’s generally more reserved - and socially awkward - than her brother Nyx, but she’s a sweet pony and genuinely cares for her friends and family. Hestia’s talent involves resolving interpersonal conflicts; she’s very perceptive and an excellent mediator for ponies trying to reconcile their differences. Although Luna and Twinkleshine did their best to give their foals a fairly “normal” upbringing, Hestia had a lot of trouble actually making friends with ponies outside of the castle due to her difficulty understanding social norms and expectations.
 
Whereas Nyx quickly bonded with his mothers over his dream walking abilities and prophetic visions, Hestia had a harder time connecting with them in the same way because of how her special talent didn’t specifically relate to magic or astronomy. Despite this, she has a good relationship with both of her parents, even if they aren’t as close. Hestia enjoys rigorous physical activity both as a way to maintain her physical and mental health and just for fun; she especially likes playing buckball. She’s good friends with Stormy Weather and (perhaps surprisingly) Ambrosia Apple.
