Sirens are instinctively and fiercely protective of their mates, no matter how grumpy, uncuddly, or anti-social they otherwise are. In other words Meadowbrook has a free ticket to mess with Aria simply by being extra snuggly, since no matter what Aria can’t help but instinctively reciprocate no matter how much it gets on her nerves. Aria might have won the battle by knocking Meadowbrook up (explicit), but Meadowbrook won the war by realizing she basically owns a siren until she lays those eggs :P
