Rainbow Glow is the new self-proclaimed ruler I mentioned. She isn’t fully pony, she wasn’t chosen as the next ruler either.
 
Dark Night is born of magic, before Iris went missing, she made a pony to keep an eye on the world.
 
Crimson lost an eye after losing a battle to Rainbow Glow. She wasn’t willing to bow down to the newcomer, believing that Rainbow Glow is the one who killed Iris. The only reason she was kept above was because she has some sort of power Rainbow couldn’t understand.
