A prize request for the first prize winner of a little contest I held on TumblrThe winner was SilverFox Shadows silverfoxshadows.tumblr.com/ (Dead link) aka Twilight-Shadow who requested me to draw out two Star Pony OC’s together. Her character Nebula mostly appears as a Black Star, a type of Star Pony that functions as a black hole. But in this Nebula is drawn as a Great Star https://silverfoxshadows.tumblr.com/post/42634209739/a-reference-sheet-for-nebula-as-a-great-star-i from before her core became corrupted and turned her into a Black Star. Great Stars are the Star Ponies that work as the stars seen on the nightsky in constellations, unable to leave their appointed spots. Star Shot is a Shooting Star, a much smaller type of Star Pony only seen as the glimpses of light you see shooting across the night sky.I decided to keep things canon for this pic, when I considered how long Nebula had been a Black Star. The inner core of Shooting Stars are more unstable than in Great Stars, and this Shooting Stars risk burning out if they don’t replace their pony shaped shell now and then, which makes the occasionally change appearance. So, with how long Nebula has been a Black Star she and Star Shot couldn’t hang around like this with Star Shot in her current design. Instead I drew how the little Shooting Star might have looked like back then.Still carrying recognizable traits she wears with every change. But in this form her looks is more like a he, as you might notice. Star Ponies are really genderless, their shells only appearing to have genders by simple details like eyelashes and such. It changes with the appearance of their shell.Enough of me blabbing. I hope SilverFox approves of her prize. Was fun trying to draw Dark Nebula as Great Star Nebula. Especially her cutiemark was an interesting challenge.Leave a tip on Ko-Fi
