Personality:

Above all else, Sundance prides herself on her grace, her patience, her compassion, her proper manners that were bestowed upon her by her sweet mother, Rarity. She is the epidemy of being a lady. At least in public.

Behind closed doors, however, Sundance is a little… well, a complete and utter geek. She has an obsession passionate love for superheros, whether it be comics, movies or animated series. She adores monster films, she’s dug through all the tapes at her local thrift stores, and can probably name at least 75% of the B-Movies ever made. Mothra may or may not be the idea of peak performance to her. She’d gladly discuss the realistic implications of horror movie plots over a cup of tea. She is a huge fan of kickboxing and wrestling, and is always cheering on her favorite wrestler, Seamus ‘Shamrock’ Shire. Many a’pony are fooled when they first meet Sundance, who makes sure to make a pleasant, quiet first impression (after all, she needs to make a good impression with the Cantorlot elite that her mother knows so well). As they get to know her, however, she lets her true colors fly, and those colors are anything but quiet. She’s loud, and proud of it! She’ll talk forever about the latest episode of her favorite superhero drama, how it was totally unfair that one of her favorite characters just died (right when they got to the end of their arc! so unfair!), the latest leotard her mother lovingly stitched for her, or how she wrestled a bull in the mud last week and won! Of course, she can’t forget how much she loves dancing, and practicing gymnastics. She draws a lot of inspiration for her dances from mixed martial arts, or the boxing techniques she lovingly memorizes. Her hobbies include binge-watching old superhero series, dance practice, mixed martial arts, writing definitely not shameless smut fanfics, and helping her mother Rarity out at her boutique.

Relationships / Background :

Sundance adores both her mothers, and loves spending time with both of them. She enjoys helping Applejack on the farm, and even gets in competitions with her sometimes (AJ is the best calf wrangler, while Sundance holds the status of Best Mud Wrestler). She has a close relationship with Rarity, and helps her around the boutique in exchange for Rarity helping her make all her cosplay outfits, and other choice pieces of clothing that Sundance nerdgasms over (like her prized possession- a movie-accurate Iron Stallion onesie). She loves her siblings very much, and enjoys hanging out with either of them. However, she makes sure to stay a certain distance away from her sister’s, er, lab. She’d rather not relive the time where she got hit by a stray bit of Poison Joke extract, and had to hop around uncontrollably like a frog for an entire day until Bluebell and Zecora figured out a strong enough concoction to reverse it. Sundance proudly is part of an ‘eternal war that will last for centuries’, aka a prank war with her little brother, Cashmere. They torment and annoy each other, but at the end of the day they both admit they might love each other, maybe just a bit. She has a good relationship with the rest of her family as well, and does enjoy spending time with ‘Auntie’ Fluttershy and her Uncle Mac, as well as her cousins.

Fun Facts :

• Sundance proudly displays both her mothers surnames, although Rarity does not normally display her family surname.
• Sundance is very intelligent and adept at magical academics, and studied at the School of Gifted Unicorns at one point, under Princess Celestia herself. However, Sundance dropped out due to not really wanting to pursue magic. It’s not that she doesn’t like magic, but well.. magic just didn’t click with her, or what she wanted.
• Sundance had an emo phase when she was a teenager, where she tried her best to be ‘totally hardcore emo, its NOT A PHASE, MOM’, and even attempted to dye her mane black. Those are times she refuses to remember, and claim never even happened if ever brought up.
