I´m going to explain why I came up with this image.
With all due respect to the LGBT community of which I am part of, if you have followed my stories there is a hint that Marelyn´s feelings navigate between male and female partners.
This is something that you will rarely see in a family show like My Little Pony which why I decided to draw a line between that fairy tale world and into more mature content. This makes perfect sense because Marelyn is a colt roughly between the age of 23-25 old.
