“So, how did it go?” Aleksie asked, hearing the pili in her bag shuffle around.
“Very good. My collection has been sold!” Sorena proudly set her bags down and kissed her mate on his fluffy cheek.
“I’m glad,” he said, kissing her back. He continued stirring the food around.
Sorena took a big breath in through her nose, taking in the wonderful smells of her husband’s cooking. She stepped aside to grab herself a drink. “There was this really sweet Wysp girl who came through looking for a present for her older sister,” she spoke up, recalling her evening.
“Oh?” Aleksie asked.
“Yeah. She was… really sweet. She was saying how special her sister was to her and how she needed to find the best gift for her.”
“And here I thought you didn’t like children,” Aleksie chimed in, teasing his wife. He looked over with a cheeky smile on his face.
Sorena’s eyes widened. “Well, I– this one was different!!” She playfully hit him on the shoulder and took a drink. Aleksie laughed and kissed her again.
“I’m glad you enjoyed yourself tonight. Come on, let’s celebrate.” He smiled and got some food for himself and Sorena. She smiled and nodded, taking her food and joining him for a relaxing evening by themselves.
