Much to his surprise the large room has a great crack running through the center of it, and from here the colt can’t see the bottom. He grabs a nearby pebble and drops it down into the gorge.
He doesn’t hear it hit the bottom.
It seems there was a bridge here before, but examining the pieces that are still left he can see that it was just recently cut. Did one of those “things” get away? Something is clearly trying to keep him trapped.
Larimar finds a surprising large length of rope sitting beside the broken bridge. Looking at the other things in the room, he sees that the objects he mistook for pegs were stone spikes with a carved stone skull atop them. The skulls are attached to the spikes, and the spikes to the floor.
The colt isn’t quite sure how he’ll cross the hole. He attempts to tie the rope into a lasso and catch one of the pegs on the other side, but he can’t throw it far enough.
He toys with the idea of tying the sword to the rope and throwing it, but he doubts the broken sword would catch onto the stone surface on the other side.
If he only had his backpack. That grappling hook would come in handy now!
What does Larimar do?
