Peace: Ember, what are you doing?

Ember: I’m checking up on one of my favorite, and one of the only, royal guards of Canterlot. Don’t be so confused when I do this Dove.

Peace: Thanks, but don’t call me that while I’m on duty. It’s Peace when I’m on duty.

Ember: snicker You said duty…

Peace: I’m serious, you do this every time you walk up to me. Please…I don’t want any trouble involving…her.

Ember: Oh…right…so how is she?

Peace: She’s doing fine, thanks for asking. I just get worried about her safety.

Ember: Don’t worry she is fine, you two were given permission to sleep in the barracks right?

Peace: Yeah, but I don’t think it’s healthy for her. There’s not that many ponies her age that she can play with nor be judged by her appearance.

Ember: Well how’s the Ponyville thing, doesn’t she like visiting that place?

Peace: Correct, but we can’t move their considering my job is being a guard. And unless some castle magically pops out of the ground, we’re just gonna visit that place now and a then for the time being.

Ember: Well as long as your relationship is at the top of the meter, your sibling connection will stay pure and great.

Peace: Thanks Ember, your expertise surely isn’t just couples I can tell based on these meetings.

Ember: smiles No problem, hey you wanna hang out later? Your sister can join too if she wants?

Peace: No can do, I’m being put on a Nightshift apparently…

Ember: Why?

Peace: Wouldn’t say, all they said was that it is a very important pony and that I need to be on my best.

Ember: A prisoner?

Peace: I asked that as well but they said it’s complicated.

Ember: Sounds interesting. Oh hey how’s my brother doing?

Peace: He is doing fine Ember, actually the um General and the Princess seem to be thinking on recruiting him for a project.

Ember: Sounds…great.

Peace: Oh don’t worry, I don’t think it’s an “around the clock” thing. Pretty sure he just does it on the work hour so you know.

Ember: Alright…Hey you wanna grab some lunch? I know we can’t hang out as often as we should but at least let me repay you for watching my brother and letting me know how he’s doing.

Peace: Sure, it means a lot that your helping us out Ember.

Ember: That’s what friends are for Dove.

Peace: sigh It is Peace…

Well here is a good example on what your oc could be in my comics(when the time comes). Not just a background character, can be a side character from being a friend, an enemy, or even some sort of villain, also can be a main character/protagonist/antagonist or some other form of importance that I cannot think of(maybe one who becomes a victim and or gets killed if you feel like it). Can request your relationship with characters of mine, even if I haven’t redesigned them yet if you wanna be specific. So Ember in my comic is a good friend of my royal guard known as Dove who uses his first name on duty to keep his little sister, Harmony, from being in any form of danger. Ember also helps out with Dove’s realationship with his sister and their current residence which they sleep in the Barracks. I wanted to put something about Ember allowing the two to live with her until season 5 but I’m not sure how that conversation would of gone to. Lastly if you haven’t read his bio I suggest you read it to know why Dove and Harmony don’t have a house(Privates don’t get a lot in my book) ->
