Origin: Discord wanted a protector to watch over Fluttershy in case he had to go away or got incompasitated. So, he grabbed a balloon version of himself and gave it life. He made it his equal, and gave it an undying love for all living things and a hate for evil. Unfortunately, he accidentally gave it fetishes as well.
