Most dragons don’t understand why she chose him. They reason that it couldn’t have been his status as Dragon Lord, because he was nearly retired by the time they met. If anything had made him eligible in the past, that was it.  
They reason it couldn’t have been his riches instead, since he wasn’t the wealthiest available dragon in all the land. Though she will certainly outlive him unless tragedy strikes, his loud personality would surely negate any benefit from enduring it. No amount of riches could make up for centuries of such torment, however few.  
Was it his dashing looks? Heavens, no! Everyone could agree to that.  
Some suggest it was coercion. This theory would hold the most water, were it not for two things: the way she looks at him and the fact that Torch openly drinks respect women juice. He goes out of his way to make his wife feel like the most magnificent creature that has graced this world at any chance he gets.  
So what could it be?
