It is widely believed that the creation of Entropy is the very reason for the sudden spike in Equestria’s population, as well as the creation of up to at least fourteen other dimensions. This way of thinking is due to her insisting she has met her other siblings (on Discord’s side) from various other dimensions. Discord has not yet confirmed nor denied these claims. Twilight remains skeptical but won’t rule out the possibility.
— Entropy is the result of a crossbreeding experiment performed by Princess Twilight Sparkle. Discord, being the only technical–although half–non-pony creature Twilight knew on-hoof who wouldn’t try to kill her, ended up being the lucky culprit. He was all too eager to go along with this plan, knowing damn well it’d spread at least a little bit of mischief where he couldn’t. The point of this experiment was to see how a pony’s body would react to another creature’s developing child, perhaps in case evolution called for it sometime down the road, and the end result of said pregnancy, whether or not the child survived, miscarried, etc. She wanted to run tests to see how long the child would survive if they surpassed the pregnancy. Entropy was the very first subject and, luckily, she survived and is, for the most part, perfectly healthy. The only major issues that she seems to possess are speech problems, colourblindness, and slight autism.
— Entropy is incapable of comprehending, what most would consider, basic morals and commands. It takes her a moment or two to properly process what she’s being told. Her view of the world is a little twisted and just rather interesting overall. Entropy’s colourblindness isn’t necessarily colourblindness, it’s more that the world is greatly dimmed to her, nearly grayscale even. She can’t see any bright or vibrant colours. Her vision could be best described as the Discorded world we see in the season two premiere.
— Usually one to be described as dumb or stupid by most, Entropy is pretty damn intelligent. Her response to outer commands are delayed but it’s easy for her to process her own internal thoughts and act accordingly pretty swiftly. Things can get done in a matter of seconds when on her own accord while, with outer commands, it may take a moment or two for her to react and do as told. However, Entropy is a pretty clueless individual. She tends to try to overanalyse things in order to understand them and it never really turns out well. Most of the time she just ends up stressing herself out and gets frustrated when this method doesn’t work.
— Despite knowing how she came into existence, including the various experiments and testing she went through both inside and outside of the womb, Entropy feels nothing but love for her mother. While most would consider experimenting on your unborn (and then born) child inhumane, Entropy knows there was never any ill intention at hand and loves Twilight dearly. Though, growing up, Entropy was attached to Discord more than anyone. Being viewed as a project by Twilight for the first few years of her life, Discord was more of a parental figure for her. He taught her every bit of chaotic lore and ability he could (Twilight taking over and teaching the academic side later on), which was probably not the best of ideas seeing as she views any horrid monstrosity she might happen to conjure up as ‘pets’. Twilight is never thrilled with this.
– Entropy spent a lot of time around Spike alongside Discord as a foal, taking a major interest in most of his interests, mainly his love for comic books. Due to his comics books, all of which she’s read time and time again, she refers to the Royal Guard as ‘superheroes’ and has a habit of calling Twilight, Discord, and just about anyone who happens to scold her for something a ‘villain’. Spike had a pretty big influence on her diet as well, her favourite snack being dragon toast–preferably with extra gems.
– Entropy’s relationship with her brother is pretty one-sided. She loves him to death but he wants nothing to do with her, or anyone really.
– Having pretty important parents, Entropy also spent a lot of her childhood with their friends, her babysitters rotating every so often. Starlight Glimmer would be the one to take over her magic lessons when Twilight wasn’t available. Due to the teachings of Starlight and her magically inclined parents, Entropy is pretty damn powerful, even if it hardly shows.
— Entropy is a bit of a kleptomaniac and has taken at least one thing from every single creature she’s encountered, whether they notice or not. This can range from personal belongings to feathers to fur to scales and so on. Her main target items are usually very shiny or soft and fluffy. Entropy justifies her thievery by saying she just ‘takes things to keep them safe’ or ‘so they don’t get lost.’
– Entropy can only speak in the third person and never refers to anyone by their real name. Discord is convinced he passed down his ‘riddle gene’ but Twilight insists that it’s just a side effect of the experiments and tests.
– An example of Entropy’s speech, referring to herself: “Ennie likes toast! She likes it with extra gems!” as opposed to “I like toast! I like it with extra gems!”
– An example of Entropy’s speech, referring to others: “Sparkle-mother” as opposed to Mom or Twilight; “Chaos-father” as opposed to Dad or Discord; “Chaos-brother” as opposed to Chimera; “Dragon-brother” as opposed to Spike; “Sunbearer” as opposed to Celestia; “Moonbringer’ as opposed to Luna, and the list goes on. Her speech pattern is based on Itsy Bitsy’s from the Marvel comics.
– Entropy has a pet axolotl named Shruooper that she snuck from Fluttershy’s and Pinkie’s cabin when she was young. Twilight was pretty surprised and not very amused to come home and find her child playing with a salamander on the floor.
