To explain this what-if thing I do have how I would go with a Genie Human Twi story that fits in with this blog’s universe though nothing I don’t think I’ll be doing much with (Unless there’s a decent demand who’d like me to add Genie Human Twi over on Ain’t Never Had Friends Like Us).
 
Basically it’d probably start as a universe where Pony Twi in this universe went on that trip to Saddle Arabia but decided to go back to normal. But she decides to keep the bottle around. Most of the events of the Equestria Girls films happen. After Rainbow Rocks, Pony Twi gives the bottle to Sunset as a gift.
 
After the Friendship Games and Human Twi gets in the picture, Sunset gives that bottle to her in turn. Assuming it’s something she can just use for science and maybe even a little magic experimenting. However, making a similar mistake as with her device that sucked in magic she ends up somehow reawakening the magic from remnants of the Dragon Tear that was infused with the bottle and it sucks her in.
 
Later, Human Twi’s parents report that she seemed to have gone missing, and what’s worse is her glasses were found in the room (Parents unsuspecting of the glowing bottle in the room) meaning not only do they assume she’s lost but also hardly able to see. A search is called by the town’s police force for any sign of the whereabouts of Twilight.
 
3 Days after Twilight’s disappearance, Sunset’s a little devastated since she thinks maybe the events of Friendship Games along with memories of being bullied at Crystal Prep was too much for her and she ran off to live alone or worse so Midnight Sparkle couldn’t possibly hurt anyone else. Feeling like she should have talked to her more before it was too late she heads to Human Twi’s house to meet with parents and goes into Twi’s room. During this time she finds the bottle she gave her before glowing, which she found strange since it never did that before, and wonders if it’s some magic thing that Twilight was messing with that she put inside. She opens it up and to Sunset’s surprise, Twilight comes out with genie accessories, tail, and everything.
 
On the bright side, this means Twilight is ok, family and friends are relieved. Though both Sunset and Human Twi are confused about what happened. Sunset would briefly come over to Equestria to see if Pony Twi knew something about this. And Pony Twi tells Sunset about the bottle’s origin and is astounded that it managed to to gain genification powers again and feels quite bad for her human alternate self since she’s likely stuck after it having been 3 days since it happened.
 
Human Twi herself is a bit confused, and decides to try to go on like normal for a little while. Even not granting many wishes, for fear that Midnight Sparkle takes over and twists that wish. One thing about Genie Human Twi would be since because the genification was from amplifying any remaining magic out of the depleted remnants of the Dragon Tear infused with the bottle the granting magic isn’t quite as strong as Genie Pony Twi’s but still considerably strong.
