Description

The Siron, or male siren, are biologically built to bolster a pod’s defenses against whatever is immune to their songs, usually mindless eating machines or avatars of disharmony. With dense bones, tense muscles, sharp spines all along its body, and a head reinforced with protrusions to ram with. These beings embody the might of a dedicated male as mean and savage as a dragon when protecting the pod. But for all their burly attributes and deadly biological weapons, they are guardians and fathers who love and care for their young and those of the pack with the gentleness of a mare with their foal.

Here we have a male whose turn is it to look after the hatchling/pup, the mother has been out singing and hunting fish and needs her rest. So for the night the siron will entertain and clean his daughter so his mate may rest until the sun comes up. Even though he is designed to pulverize and maim, he can find games to teach the youngling good life skills and keep her from wandering out into danger. In most cases, due to the danger of predators only two males are allowed to take breaks while the mothers rest and the other sirons guard. Halfway into the night the guard shift changes so not all fathers are left without some time with their family.
