Description

Birth name: Ashley Vinson
Pegasus
Female

Those who’ve served with her describe her as calculated, cold, and obsessed with constant improvement of her combat capabilities.
Despite her lack of any apparent emotion or outward sense of brotherhood, Ash has proven her loyalty in combat.

“Before her Spectre procedure Ash was still pretty apathetic, but at least you’d see her crack a smile every once in a while off duty. She was obsessed though. She had to be the best.

After she got that Gen 2 upgrade though, any sparkle that was in her eyes was gone. And not just because her retinas were replaced with cybernetic implants. But that’s what they say here on the frontier with the new pilots. Each new Generation makes them just a little bit faster, and a little bit more dead inside.

Either way, I wouldn’t jump without Ash watching my back. I don’t think any of us would. And that’s enough for me.”

So this idea has been sitting in my head for a bit now. I had ideas for ponifying each of the 6 titans from Titanfall 2, but the Ronin one kept sitting in my head the most. So I just had to get it out and on paper :P

I decided on a pegasus for the Ronin titan because Ronin’s are Stryder classes, and if you’re not familiar, those are the lightest and fastest frames. And so, well, pegasi are light and fast >_>

Also if you’re not familiar: in the Titanfall universe, combat proven soldiers can be promoted to the rank of “pilot”, which on top of being granted access to a Titan, opens opportunities for soldier augmentation. Some of these augmentations include cybernetic mods to their biological bodies, referred to as Spectres. In the first Titanfall, it was speculated that pilots were in fact made mostly of Spectre components because they possess superhuman traits and zero social skills (they were mute). They still maintained the outward appearance of being human for the sake of blending into the ranks of friendly grunts for psychological reassurance. It was mostly a fan theory though, and Titanfall 2 did nothing to confirm or deny this theory either so… Sounds cool at least.

Yes her colors involve a lot of grays, but that’s mechs for ya. I used specifically the color pallets from the “Ash”’s Ronin from the campaign, which had darker hues and metallic orange highlights. I actually like how it turned out in the end though.

Funny enough, the Arc tech is not a reference to Iron Man/Stark tech. In the Titanfall universe, Arc tech is a form of electrostatic weaponry that is incredibly deadly to both biological and mechanical combatants.

Ash is not part of the Wings of Fire comic. While I admit that would be cool, her tech is beyond the scope of what I want for the story, among other things.

TLDR:
If you have zero idea of what any of this is: This is a pony of a mech warrior in a video game, this one particularly: Here

Have a good New Years everyone!
