Ruby mentions everything that transpired at and after their trip to the pawn shop.
 
“2000 bits?” Sleepy says with a whistle, “Nice haul for one night of work.”
 
“Indeed, your altruism makes more sense suddenly, Ruby.” Barber says with a nod to the foal.
 
“And that was the last you saw of Rat?” Sleepy asks.
 
“Yeah? Why do you think I know where he is? What am I, his foal sitter?” Ruby says, sticking out her lower lip, “He just said he’d spend it on the usual stuff and that’s it.”
 
“He certainly wasn’t at the hotel today.” Barber says thoughtfully in response to this, “Sleepy, will you check out all the bars he frequents? I want to make sure that idiot doesn’t go spending all the bits we earned before we even have them.”
 
“Yeah…” Sleepy says with a sigh and spooning more soup into his mouth, “Just lemme finish this up. It’s pretty good.”
