“How did that come about? What would a child do on a battlefield?”
“I… I’m not sure. I saw a flash of light, I think, and there she was, wrapped up tightly, sleeping. She just looked… abandoned.”
“What did you do?”
“When I found out she was warm and alive, I held her close, trying to keep it that way.”
“Were you worried about her?”
“That’s the odd thing - as long as she was with me, it felt like there wasn’t anything to worry about. I was there to protect the banner, look after my fellow soldiers, but in the end, looking after this baby was just as important as what we were doing for Equestria as a whole.”
