Followers of Zesty’s story arc been askin’ me for the identity of Dandy’s husband. It’s Hard Hat!

Dandelion and Hard Hat met by coincidence when both were placed on an ill-fated project together. The obviously-eccentric client had hired a builder for a unit without walls and an interior designer for an exterior landscape; the project was doomed from the start and nopony was happy (there was also a girl cagemaker brought on for reasons uncertain, considering how the project had something to do with free-range animals…the boys felt sorry for her). Dandy and Hardy bonded via mutual bitching-sessions about the project, and soon grew to like each other; Dandy appreciated that Hardy was more than just a handsome slab of muscle, but also an even-keeled and well-spoken gentlecolt, whilst Hardy admired Dandy’s prettiness AND his bold and fearlessly protective nature. Soon enough the two were inseparable.

The male Grandeur twin found and married his love sooner than his little sister found hers. While Zesty has always been very happy for the pair, at the time she couldn’t imagine why anypony would want to share a living space with anypony else. Who would want to make that sort of commitment when there’s so much work to be done? She doesn’t get it. And after all these decades, she doesn’t get her brother’s fascination with glitter, either.
