Gameloft just dropped this big update on the MLP game app. The big new feature is Group Quests.
 
Similar to “tasks” where you send a pony out and they come back with money or a trinket, in Group Quests, you select a whole bunch of ponies and send them out to finish a task together. If you send out the maximum number of ponies for the quest, it maximizes your possible trinket rewards once the quest is complete. There are also three “Pro Characters” per quest. The quests come in three parts, separated by a wait timer. At each of the three stops, you’re asked for a solution to a problem, and you’re rewarded with trinkets based on your answer. The “Pro Character” will always have the best possible option with the highest trinket reward, while the other two characters have a smaller chance of success.
 
Once you finish the quest, you receive a box of three items, which may include decorations, shops, and even ponies. The more trinkets you get during the quest, the higher rank box you get, and the better rewards you get. Also, while ponies are on the quest (pro or otherwise), you won’t be able to use them for anything else.
