Backstory: Serina grew up in Baltimare with her family. She was the only child, so she was always little spoiled. Serina liked growing up in Baltimare, but dreamed of moving to Canterlot. She loved the elegance and glamour that Canterlot had to offer. When she turned 15, her parents allowed her to move to Canterlot. As a young filly Serina fell in love with space and the mysteries it hid. Serina wanted to cover them all. Now she lives in Canterlot studying space and it’s mysteries.
 
Cutiemark Story: When Serina was 6, she found an old book from the attic about space and it’s mysteries. She found a chapter telling about a special connection between sun and moon. The chapter was about a theory where a sun-like source could work as the sun and as the moon without lowering it down or chancing it. This theory had never been tested before, because in order to make it, you would need to specific environment. No one even knew what kind of environment was the perfect one to make it. Only two things were known. Sun and moon needed to be up in the sky at the same time and a special chemical fluid needed to be prepared. Serina got super excited about this and decided to try it. For many weeks, she climbed up to the near by hill, where she was able to see sun and moon at the same time just for a split second each day. Too many times she missed the opportunity. But Serina didn’t give up. One summer evening, she succeeded. She was able to make a light ball, that was a crescent moon with 2 small light balls. It glowed under 10 seconds, until it exploded. Serina did it. She made it, even if it was for couple seconds. Serina was so happy that she didn’t even notice the cutiemark that had appeared on her flank.
