Saw a few bronies, shitting on the past gens. So I drew a Minty because I grew up on gen 3.
 
Without the past generations on MLP y’all wouldn’t have the Mane 6 if not just only Twilight Sparkle. Even then she was inspired by past generations. You can dislike the previous gens all you’d like (if it includes movies and such since that’s what bronies mostly focus on) but remember that without them;
 
> Pinkie Pie wouldn’t exist  
> Rainbow Dash wouldn’t exist  
> Rarity wouldn’t have a name or a design based off of Gen 1  
> Fluttershy wouldn’t have a name or a design based off of Gen 1  
> Twilight Sparkle wouldn’t have a design due to it being based off of a pony in Gen
 
So it’s important to understand that previous gens are very important in themselves, and like I said I grew up with Gen 3. Lot’s of these ponies are original, yes. Like Equestria having Manehatten or Fillidelphia instead of Butterfly Island in Gen 3 or Paradise Estate in Gen 1.
 
But that’s what makes a generation, different ponies, different toys, different stories.
 
The movies and shows didn’t matter to us as much as the toys did, we brought them to life and loved them with all of our hearts. Sure it was an exciting thing our parents put on to distract us if we were rowdy but the toys are what mattered the most. They bring back nostalgia, love, and all that wonderful childhood feeling.
 
Just remember the history of MLP before bashing on people who enjoy past gens because that’s mine and many others adventure, and you can’t change the history.
