Description:

Fancy Pants frees us of the pony ethics that held us back; change your breed, change your sex, change your life! It’s yours to change, nopony elses.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––Doctor Stable has been head surgeon of the Ponyville hospital for almost twenty years now, and has experienced not even half a dozen operations that only he could do alone, but could have been done just as well with more ponies. So while his time there was relatively easy, he had not gotten enough real life chances to put his skills to the test, making his years in med school seem wasted. The only reason he chose to stay at Ponyville Hospitable was because he wanted to personally take care of his aging mother who lived nearby. Unfortunately, she passed away only two years after he got employed, but in that time he had quickly risen the medical ranks only to have little choice but to stay as too many relied on him for guidance, and difficult operations that only his Canterlot medical education could solve alone.

One day, he over heard some nurses talking about a new city being built that was said to welcome those with ambitious ideas. Interested, he asked them more about it and they said that a Canterlot entrepreneur was funding and building it with the assistance of Twilight Sparkle. He remembered her. She was in a few months ago with a horrendous concussion as well as several fractured and broken limbs. He headed the operation but the best he could do was send her off with casts in a modified wheel chair. Being reminded of this personal failure, he quickly made arrangements to meet with her again and her entrepreneur friend to make amends. After discussing his reasons with the chairponies, they agreed that he could go along with one assistant to ease his work load, and to keep track of it as he explained to them that his visit there would be strictly business and to update his surgical procedures if possible.

Upon arriving to Olympia, or so he thought was Olympia, they were almost done with an off-shore research station. The sight of the structure alone was enough to convince him that this place was indeed coming to be what was promised; a place with no limits. When he reached the dock that was sending parts to the station, he immediately saw the purple unicorn in an orange jump suit floating a clipboard in front of her. He guessed that she was overseeing the stations construction. Not sure if any lingering effects of the incident were still in effect, he tried not to startle her as he introduced him self and his assistant. After formalities and catch-up talks were done with, Twilight escorts then to Ms. Zecora’s dwelling. On the way she mentions that there has been some pretty nasty accidents that not even Zecora’s herbs and brews could fix, which is why she is taking them to her so Zecora can inform them of the current overall health of the residents.

Upon arrival to their destination, the zebra greats them openly and warmly as if they were long lost friends. Once inside, she fetches a creature from a nearby water tank and puts it on the table between them. Zecora mentions that she has found a few of these around the beach and suspects that they can be of medical use. He asks Twilight if she would aid his assistant in preforming research on the creature to confirm Zecora’s claim; Twilight couldn’t have been more excited as she grabbed his assistant by the hoof and zipped out the enclosure with the creature held in her magic. He asked Zecora if she could show him the patients that she failed to cure, as he might be able to. The moans and groans from the make-shift medical pavilion was more than enough for him to know that most of the cases were terminal if not fixed right away. He slide to a halt upon entering, horrified at some of the conditions the ponies were in. He knew that they would be too much for him and wondered if that creature Zecora found might aid him in the procedures to fix these poor ponies.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––I chose Doctor Stable to personify Dr. J. S. Steinman since they had some personal qualities in common: they’re both doctors and appear to do whatever it takes to make their patients perfect, either in health or in looks.

(Apparently his real name is Doctor Horse, I’ll keep it as Doctor Stable since I find it a bit ironic as he is not stable at all in the way I portray him)
