It was another normal day at Crystal Prep Academy. Students bored out of their minds, trying not to die from anticipation of being able to go to another epic party in someone’s dorm. Others were just excited to sleep, one being Lemon Zest, a second year high school student. Staring at the bell, she waited….and waited….and waited…
 
: Rings (Don’t Judge The Taco Bell)
 
Lemon Zest jumped up out of her seat, excited like there was no tomorrow. Finally, sleep was to come soon. She slammed all of her items in her bag before rushing out of the classroom. The halls were flooded with students, having the same reaction as her. Her feet tapped the floor with each step, her pigtails struggled to keep their figure together.
 
: Wait! Lemon!
 
Lemon Zest stopped her tracks and turned around, seeing the one and only Pinkie Pie. The pink-haired third year let out a giggle.
 
: Hey Zesty, you coming to my party after school.
 
Lemon Zest’s memory flashed through her head. Oh yeah, she was invited to another one of Pinkie Pie’s killer parties. Most of the time, Lemon wouldn’t miss it for the world. But she desperately needed sleep. She bit her lip while thinking. She cracked a smile.
 
: Um, I might. I really need sleep. If I wake up in time, I’ll come.
 
: Ookie Dookie Lookie~! Have fun Zesty!!!
 
Pinkie Pie skipped away into the crowd of ponies. Lemon Zest smiled when watching her walk away.
 
: Hey, Lemon.
 
Lemon Zest heard, another, voice behind her. She turned her head, seeing her best friend, Indigo Zap. Indigo Zap was a fellow Second Year, one of Lemon’s childhood friends. Not to mention her crush.
 
: Zappy!
 
The girl with pigtails tackled her best friend in a hug. Indigo Zap tried to avoid a blush before hugging her back. She let out a chuckle, trying to keep her cool. Her heart was pounding with acceleration.
 
: H-hey Lemon, how was your last class?
 
Much to Indigo’s disappointment, Lemon Zest separated from the hug.
 
: Boring, but great! I just want to go back to the dorms or sleep.
 
An idea formed in Indigo’s head.
 
: Well, how about you take a nap at my dorm? You can sleep on Sugarcoat’s bed, I’m sure she’ll be out with the others.
 
: Aw yeah! Come on Zappy!
 
Lemon Zest grabbed Indigo’s hand, racing out of the school and to the doors.
 
: Wait! Lemon! Slow down!
 
Lemon Zest didn’t listen though, she only continued to run, pulling her friend with her.
 
_{At Crystal Prep Dorms}
 
The door of Indigo Zap’s unlocked, and soon opened. The dorm Indigo Zap shared with Sugar Coat. The Blue-Haired girl threw open the door. She took off her shoes, walking in.
 
: Make yourself at home.
 
Lemon Zest let out a small squeal of happiness. Finally, school ended and she did’t have to go back until Monday. She can finally sleep. Indigo Zap untied her ribbon around her collar, throwing it on her desk. She pulled out her phone before going to her room, and flopping onto her bed. Lemon Zest, watching her, decided to do the same, throw down the ribbon onto the desk.
 
She felt her legs go weak from the lack of sleep. She yawned before going to her friend’s room. Indigo hadn’t even had the chance of looking up from her phone before Lemon Zest flopped onto the girl’s body. Indigo coughed from the impact.
 
: Hey! Lemon Zest! Get off.
 
Indigo heard another yawn that left Lemon Zest’s mouth.
 
: Wake me up at five.
 
: Wha?
 
: Pinkie’s Party starts at 5. Now, less talking, more me sleeping.
 
And with that, the green haired girl was asleep, Indigo stared down at the girl. Lemon Zest’s golden eyes were now fluttered shut. Indigo Zap felt heat rise to her cheeks, Lemon Zest sleeping was just….adorable….. Indigo has always felt some sort of attraction towards her friend, but hated to admit it. Most of the school knew about her attraction, or at least, the people they know. It started when her friends started shipping them, without Lemon Zest knowing. Then the school started to grow some knowledge and started to ship it as well, then slowly found out of the attraction.
 
Indigo Zap looked away, before looking back at her friend, who was fast asleep. A small smile formed on the Second-Year’s lips.
 
: Cute…..
 
She sighed before looking back on her phone, looking at new albums of songs, checking Instagram, texting some random friends about Pinkie’s party. The usual. Her concentration was interrupted when she heard small snores.
 
: ?!
 
Looking down, she saw Lemon Zest giving off….small snores….
 
Small….adorable….snores…
 
Indigo Zap smiled and blushed some more. She was about to go back to her phone, yet a pair of arms interrupted her. She felt someone take hold of her grasp. Looking down again, she saw Lemon Zest now, tightly cuddling her. The sleeping girl’s arms were tightly wrapped around the orange eyed girl’s waist. She opened her mouth from pure shock, feeling blood rush back on her cheeks. She, slowly, wrapped her arms around the other’s waist, to keep her in her spot….yeah…let’s go with that….
 
She gulped, looking away.
 
: I….I love you….Zappy……
 
Indigo’s blush increased even further, if it was even possible. Her cheeks were darker than Sour Sweet’s hair, even the tips of her ears were red.
 
 
: I…..I love you too……Lemonade…..
 
A small notification interrupted her thoughts. Indigo Zap looked down at her phone. A text from Sugarcoat came in.
 
: Pet names already?
 
Indigo looked over to her door, seeing the rest of her friends, fangirling silently. Her eyes narrowed before going back to her phone, typing back a reply.
 
: Be quiet or you’ll wake her….and yes….pet names already…..

Even though I’m one of the founders of the CPA-Metal-Heads Group, I realized that I’ve never actually made fanart for the ship. ;-; Sad I know. Anyway, so for the past few days, I’ve been working on this. I’m really proud of it. I know that Indigo’s hair is in a ponytail, and Lemon’s is in pigtails, but I found it cuter this way.
