Growing up, I had 2 types of My Little Ponies.
 
One was tall and slender. You got adults and ‘teens’ (I think) and they were gorgeous! I only had about 4 of these, my favourite being the one pictured.  
I always saw them as American Shetlands, who, while small, are fine little ponies.

The others were the traditional G1 ponies, who I’m sure everyone knows. I saw them as Traditional Native Shetland Ponies. They are short and stocky (NOT FAT) and built for the harsh weather in the Shetland isles.
