This foray into fabulousness is based on a series of ficlets on which gp3119 is working, wherein he chronicles the uneasy courtship of grouchy muleicorn food critic Zesty by overconfident wunderpone photographer Foto. Herein Foto tries (unsuccessfully) to transform the Z into a mewling school-filly by blowing her mind with flamboyant excess, not least by making sure the critic is invited to all of Canterlot’s most lavish parties. Zesty attends, but always makes a show of having a crappy time, much to her suitor’s simmering frustration. But seriously, Z-Pone…if the sumptuous tones of the Foalumbus Foxfire and their raffish, dashing bandleader Vixen Grin can’t bust though your defenses and melt you down into those hungrily waiting arms, nopony can! And really, who doesn’t grow weary of playing hard to get eventually?…
