Emerald offers the bucket to Ruby and asks if she wants to take a bath.
 
“Uh, I’m okay.” Ruby says, giving Emerald a slight smile.
 
Emerald splashes her a few times, and after a yell of “Hey!” Ruby approaches the river edge and starts splashing back. This leads to Emerald taking up the bucket and chasing around Ruby with it, but she manages to wrestle it from the colt and dump the water on him instead.
 
Emerald asks what Ruby wants to do while they hang out with Hope.
 
“Oh, uh… I dunno. What were you going to do?” Ruby says.
 
Emerald suddenly remembers he has the dragonfire lamp. He could contact Joyride or Hope that way! He wonders if he should though. Dragonfire lamps aren’t common things. Would he draw too much attention to them if he sent one?
