She got it in her head that half the reason she always ends up turning into a blimp halfway through her dives is because she’s been relying on a compressor to fill the air tanks for her at the surface, and somehow those tanks keep managing to empty all they’ve got down her air hose at once. So, we’re trying it in a direct-drive setup instead, seems to be working alright so far.”
 
“Heh, you sure she isn’t just cursed or something? I mean, I can’t even remember the last time she actually brought something up from the bottom that wasn’t just enough air to turn her suit into a barrage balloon. Ah, anyways, actually swung by because of something that happened to the Stork earlier, thought you might be able to make sense of it. Was formation-flying behind Contrail when I guess one of the pulsejets flamed out, got a spray of fuel cider in my face from it and next thing I knew, the Stork’s engine was revving like crazy. Shut the air intakes, and that managed to quell it, just was the weirdest thing when it happened. You think you could give the Stork’s engine a once-over when you’re done here? Just make sure nothing’s broke.”
 
“Sure, I’ll have a look at it. Sounds of things, it was breathing the fuel in with the air, probably would act like you just opened the throttle up wide as it started firing on that instead from the injectors. Long as you didn’t have it running for too long like that, should be alright…”
