Description
As Clover breathes in the sea air, she thinks of what she’s leaving behind; a life full of scraps and want. But on this day, no more. She’ll take the world, and she’ll take it by surprise! But even with the happy thoughts, Clover can’t let her mom leave her mind. She cared for her. Loved her quite a bit.
“Get yer asses down here for the Cap’n!” Sunny Shores yells, as Clover turns to look at the gathering crew members.
Unsure, the lil’ filly joins the familiar pony by the Captain’s side. Six ponies immediately turn to attention, trotting down to the ground floor.
“ALL of your asses! Fuckin’ damn it, is Shanty and Timber up in the Nest again? And where’s Saber?”
Highwind facehooves, telling him to calm down. “You’re my First Mate because you’re loud, Sunny, not because you’re vulgar. Don’t you see we have company?”
“Sorry sir, but Saber has been a sack of… waste since we got back from Harbor. All he does is sit around and beat his meat raw, complaining about some mare at port.”
Clover recoils at that. What were they talking about? Was he beating up a rat or something? What meat?
“Filly, Sunny.”
“Right, sorry.” The earth pony rolls his eyes, turning back to the crowd.
“Alright, from left to right: Hook, High Tide, False Flag, Sea Wind- DON’T do it, Sea… Salt Lick and finally Mr. Fishy. Or Fishnet. We just call him Fish. We’re missing Shanty and Timbers, and our Quartermaster Skilled Skillet is probably doing some kind of weird food experiment. Don’t trust anything she calls ‘creative’. And of course, Mr. Popular today, Silver Saber is downstairs. Don’t enter his room, and do NOT talk to him if you see him. In fact, come straight to me.
Highwind nods to his First Mate, who promptly begins shouting again.”
“Now… any questions before we start what I have planned? You’ll like it, I promise. Because I’ve got a job for you once we get to Port.”
