According to my calendar it’s “Talk Your Language Day”, so I felt like drawing something to that. Since I’m very proud of being Danish.

That sentence is a typical Dane joke if you are a foreigner. We WILL try and make you say it, just to listen to you fail miserably at pronouncing our odd words. Danes have been discovered to have unique larynx, making us able to pronounce sounds (such as the Ææ, Øø and Åå) that many other nationalities can’t. But is also make it hard for us to pronounce other languages like English, with a terrible, terrible accent. Let’s just say there are reasons you people always prefer to use Swedish as the go to Scandinavian accent.

Anyways. I would have recorded myself pronouncing this sentence, but couldn’t figure out why my computer only played my attempts without any sounds at all. Oh well.

What does it mean? Well, roughly translated:
Red Porridge with cream.
(red porridge = strawberry porridge, an old Danish dish)

A nonsensical sentence only popular because the specific words are very hard to pronounce for non-Danes.
