- Generally has a happy-go-lucky attitude and he always does his best to remain positive on things.
- Very adorkable, get him started on a conversation involving either astronomy or science fiction and he will speak about it passionately with utmost enthusiasm.
- Can occasionally be a bit of a show-off whenever he uses his magic, but he mostly does just to ‘wow’ people with the majesty of the cosmos.
Bio: A unicorn stallion born in a small burg a little bit away from the city of Vanhoover, Star Seeker was raised in a household of magic and illusions. His unicorn mother was a talented illusionist and his earth pony father worked as a special effects artist for movies and theatrical productions. As a little colt, he always wanted to carry on his family’s legacy and become a talented magician, and dreamed of wowing huge crowds with his spectacular magical feats. Growing up, he got a lot of help with honing his magical skills from his great-uncle, due to his mom traveling around the country to perform her shows. Star Seeker learned everything he knew about illusion magic from his great uncle, who took pride in showing the young colt his trade secrets. However Star Seekers dreams for the future would change on one fateful night.
One night, while Star was getting ready for bed, a freak power outage swept across the small city and spread to all the other neighboring towns and communities, leaving all the residents in the dark. As his eyes slowly adjusted to the blackness, he saw a faint glow coming from outside his house. His child-like curiosity getting the better of him, Star Seeker stepped outside to discover the source of the faint glow which seemed to come from the sky itself. Looking up he saw an unforgettable sight that would change his life forever. Without the glow of Luna’s moon or the bright light from the towns building and lamp posts, the night sky was laid bright, black, and bare for all to see. Star gazed up at the endless black vastness that was accompanied with thousands upon thousands of tiny bright lights and realized just how small he was compared to the rest of world and everything beyond. But this realization did not frighten him, in fact it inspired the little colt and gave him a great desire to experience and understand the grand display of nature he was witnessing. Using all the magic within him and the lessons from his great uncle, Star Seeker began to recreate what he saw in the sky, around him. Soon the street he was standing in began to slowly fill with tiny motes of light that swirled and danced around him. Seconds later he began creating comets, then meteors, and then planets. Soon enough he had an miniature galaxy that slowly spread throughout the city which captivated and awed everyone who gazed upon it. In that moment, floating amongst his own little world, Star Seeker felt like he could never be any happier. Unfortunately when the lights of the city flickered back on, his grand magical galaxy flickered off, but not without the praise of his father and dozens of ponys who witnessed the spectacle. It was shortly afterwords, when Star Seeker dedicated himself to learn more about outer space, that he received his cutie-mark.
One week later, two of Luna’s night guards (one of them being a witness to Star Seekers magical display) showed up with a personal invite from Princess Luna, to enroll at her own school of magic and science just outside of Las Pegasus. With encouragement from his parents, Star Seeker quickly took the offer, packed up his belongings and headed off to learn more about the universe and further improve his magical abilities.
Years later, he now works as an astronaut at a secret laboratory located in Crescent Canyon, just 10 miles away from the desert town of Smokestack. With his super fast and magically enhanced spaceship, Comet Chaser, Star Seeker travels across the cosmos, creating star charts and retrieving bio samples from all kinds of alien planets for his superiors back at the lab to study.
Notes: - Prefers to go by his middle name, Jacob due the amount of ponys he has to work with that all have ‘Star’ as their first name.
- Has always been a lover of comics ever since he learned how to read, and became a huge sci-fi nerd when he started studying astronomy. He’s an avid fan of the popular sci-fi mini-series, Wastelanders: Equestria and it’s sequel Wastelanders: Project Horizons.
- He usually stops by the town of Smokestack whenever he’s off duty, and likes to hang out at the towns bar every Friday night as this is usually the only time he gets to socialize with other ponys. This is how he eventually becomes friends with Mona and Amber.
