Star: C’mon, this isn’t a leisurely walk. This is a workout
Striker: But….. but…….. catches breath you’re going too fast! Can’t we just go home?
Star: Guess you don’t want to be a star athlete that badly if you don’t even wanna workout
Striker: No I do! I do! runs faster
Star: Whoa, hey! Don’t overdo it.
Striker: I’m gonna be the best athlete in Equestria!!!! Bet I can beat you to that tree!
Star: chuckles No way! speeds up
Striker: Hey! catches up to Star I’m gonna win! I can make it!
Star: smiles and slows down a bit
Striker: makes it to tree I did it! I won!!! plops down onto the grass
Star: Sure did. Not bad, Striker. Now, I’m gonna beat you home starts jogging
Striker: Hey! Wait!
door opens
Star: Fletcher is that you?
………………………………………
Star: Hello? Who’s there? walks to front door
Hln: gasping for air
Star: HLN!!! runs over to to Hln Hln, can you speak?
Hln: inhaling sharply
Star: Don’t move, okay? I’m gonna call the ambulance
Hln: M-m-mommy……
Star: Wha
Hln: breathing heavily Mommy, I’m okay.
Star: Are you
Hln: nods
Star: cradles Hln and carries her to her room Oh, thank Celestia! You scared me!
Hln: I didn’t think I’d ever be able to scare you, Mommy.
Star: Well, you did. sets Hln on her bed What were you even doing outside? I thought you were in here!
Hln: I saw a little bird and it looked hurt. I think it fell out of it’s nest since it’s so windy out. I had to help it.
Star: What did you do? Why were you so out of breath?
Hln: After I helped it, the wind blew my ribbon away……. and I chased it.
Star: Hln……..
Hln: I didn’t want to lose the lucky ribbon. It’s too special
Star: But not more special than you. Don’t you EVER, risk your life for something so silly again, you hear me?
Hln: Sorry, mom.
Star: It’s alright. I’m just glad you’re okay.
Star: spots Thunder Stomp under a tree and goes over to him Hey, what’re you doing out here?
Thunder: shrugs
Star: You okay?
Thunder: Yeah.
Star: It’s a Saturday. Why aren’t you out playing with your friends?
Thunder: I don’t want to. They’re just doing silly things
Star: And?
Thunder: I dunno
Star: chuckles You’re a lot like me y’know. When I was younger
Thunder: ?
Star: I would always act like I never wanted to hang out with my friends because the things they’d do were “too childish” for me
Thunder: ……… were they?
Star: Well…………. a little bit. But whenever I’d hang out with them, I found that I actually did have fun. I regret being a buzzkill all the time rather than just embracing the time I had with my friends. Now, we’re all doing our own things and don’t get to see each other as much.
Thunder: Hm…
Star: Just go out and have some fun. There’s plenty time to be serious when you’re a grown up.
Thunder: Okay.
Star: You could go play with Prism’s daughter. She’s probably not too busy. Or Apollo and Oasis. They’re always up for a little adventure, right?
Thunder: Mmhm. gets up I’ll go find them then. Thanks, mom.
Star: No problem
Momma Star again! These are kinda old and have just been sitting in my sketchbook. Might as well share ‘em right? I swear I had a Candy one, but I’m not sure where they went lol
