Felonwood likes to buck trees and dig holes and wrassle and plant little things and be the country girl that she is. Firewood, meanwhile, grows progressively less contented with the lifestyle beloved of her twin, preferring to ruminate on the pictures and stories of big-city life featured in the fashion magazines she swipes from Silver Sonnet’s purse. Where Felonwood is happy as a clam, Firewood considers herself as a big fish in a podunk pond. To realign her with her raising, the sisters’ father Applejack (certainly not to be mistaken for his eventual namesake granddaughter) “allows” Firewood to permanently borrow his favorite hat. She’d rather not be seen at school wearing the musty old thing, but as not to hurt her pa’s feelings she wears it anyway. For now.
 
As we’ve discussed in the past, exactly everyone who writes about AJ has their own unique headcanon for her parents and grandparents. I’ve been wanting to trot mine out for a while now, and since you already know how the twins turn out when they grow up, I thought I’d sketch up another little slice of JG lore. :>
