It’s been a little over a year since Babs Seed’s last visit and the CMC are waiting at the train station. They look around, waiting for her to get off the train, not really paying attention to the adults as they pass by, nor bothering to look up at their faces.
 
Right when they begin to think that Babs didn’t arrive, a woman appears off to the side. We see her from behind but the low angle means we only get a look at her curvy, denim-clad rear.
 
The mystery lady calls out in a husky voice, “Hey, girls. Are you lookin’ for me?”
 
The three friends turn around and look up to see…
 
“B—Babs?” Apple Bloom chokes.
 
The strange lady looks like her cousin all right, except that she appears old enough to be in college!
 
Babs chuckles at their surprise. “Yeah, I kiiiiinda grew a little since the last time I saw ya.”
 
“A little?” Sweetie Belle squeaks, “You’ve gotta be as tall as Applejack!”
 
The young woman gives an embarrassed little smile.
 
As they all walk back into town Babs tells them about how she got an apprenticeship at a hair salon in Manehatten last year. At the time she was still the same size as when she had last been to Ponyville and she struggled to do the jobs assigned to her in the salon. Babs tells them about how things started getting easier when she hit a growth spurt.
 
She started shooting up like a weed. It wasn’t long before she stopped needing to use a step ladder for most tasks. In fact, it only took a few months before her co-workers were asking her to get things down off of the high shelves for them!
 
Not only was she getting taller, but she began filling out too. Fortunately, Babs had lots of hand-me-downs to wear from her sister, Sunflower. Although, Babs leans in and lowers her voice as she confides that she now wears a bigger bra than either her sister or mother.
 
Getting over their surprise, the CMC are still excited to hang out with their friend, no matter how much she’s changed. However, when they drop Sweetie off at Carousel Boutique, Rarity is excited to see Babs as well and they start talking hair fashions. Rarity even suggests that they head over to the spa so that she can introduce the budding stylist to Aloe and Lotus.
 
As Babs spends more and more time with the adults of Ponyville, she inadvertently leaves the CMC behind.
 
During the three weeks that she’s there, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle have to come to terms with the fact that Babs is no longer a child and that as you get older your interests will naturally change.
