This is exactly how I would imagine if the CMC came across Spike crying all by himself. They’re very sweet to everyone they live with in town and that would certainly include Spike. And it’s the kind of thing that makes you realize that as they are still only kids. They must always be there for one another when they know they aren’t having a very good day. I’ve always thought Spike and the CMC have always had some emotional yet heartwarming moments.
 
Foals must always be there for each other even if they are not of the same species.
