One Friday afternoon, Rarity is puttering around in her room, making preparations for the Starswirl Music Festival the next day (which she and her friends are attending). In preparation for the event, the fashionista decides to try on the outfit she is going to wear that weekend, but chooses to forego her jacket and footwear while she packs, leaving her arms and feet bare. She is just about finished with her first suitcase when she suddenly gets a video call on her laptop. Upon answering it, she is surprised to discover that it is one of her classmates from school whom she briefly dated the previous year. The two talk for a little bit and catch up on what they’ve been doing before the caller asks Rarity if she wants to come over for the weekend for some ‘quality time’ together. However, Rarity knows what her ex is trying to do. She just wants to use her as a housemaid just like when they were dating. The fact that he basically manipulated her into being his servant for most of their relationship and she didn’t know it until one of her friends pointed it out was enough to make Rarity break up with the boy all together. So it goes without saying that she politely declined the offer and hung up. However, not a minute later, she receives an email from her ex and, upon opening it, discovers that it’s just a blue and orange spiral, which quickly entrances the fashionista. Soon, a voice starts playing over the video, telling Rarity that she is becoming very relaxed and sleepy, her wonderful mind becoming more empty and blank with every passing minute. A few minutes later, Rarity succumbs to the apparent brainwashing and allows her eyes to droop shut and her head to fall onto the table and into her resting arms. As she sleeps, she hears the voice from the video beginning to put strange thoughts into her head….
 
About an hour later, Rarity wakes up at her desk (unaware of the blue and orange spirals in her eyes). While she does feel more relaxed and content with herself after her little catnap, she is suddenly filled with a strange new desire: she no longer wants to go to the music festival with her friends that weekend. She wants to go to her ex’s house and have that quality time with him, doing whatever is asked of her. In fact, all the negative emotions the fashionista had for her ex seem to have forgotten about entirely. Without hesitating, she calls him back up and happily informs him of her decision, unaware that he planned this all along. Her ex is pleased by this and also tells her that she can still wear her music festival apparel at his place as he finds it sexy, a comment which makes Rarity blush. The two eventually hang up, leaving Rarity free to text her friends and inform them of her surprising change of plans….
