Whatever cruel fate I had suffered clearly had also been doled out onto others (well mine anyway was a cruel fate, Sonata and Aria’s were improvements.) Moving around proved a difficult task; all of us were exhausted and incredibly weak. Furthermore, these new bodies were beyond cumbersome, far more difficult to work with than the sleekness of a siren body in the freedom of a vast ocean. It took a moment for us to realize we were in a large field of some kind; tall grasses, wheat fields abound and the like. The sun shone brightly and it was far warmer than the oceans waters led me to believe. It was too warm actually but I suppose that was the least of our worries.
