This picture was inspired by the song “Days Gone By” on the recent MLP Christmas Album (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6ADjKGRZmE). The song is a heartfelt adaptation of “Auld Lang Syne” by Applejack, and really hits emotionally when you realize that the unofficial lore is that her parents have passed away. This was my attempt to do that song justice:
When family cannot be here
Having journeyed far and wide
We sing a song to honor them
To remember days gone by
