Fun fact: The words Near, Far, Are, So, Now, Why, Yet, They, Then, Five, Door, Gull, Stoat, Pony, and Dinky are pronounced the same or almost the same in both English and Nierna and have the exact same meaning (except Pony also means horse), and, yes, that means the phrase “So near, yet so far” is pronounced exactly the same in both languages.
 
And yes, the word for “sigh” is “Wham” and “end” is “slept”. The latter was inspired by the Danish word “slut”, meaning “the end”.
