Shining chuckled as he watched his heavy-set girlfriend sink back into the chair, her body giving off a slight but noticeable bounce under her tight sweater. “Couldn’t eat another bite, huh?”
Cadence playfully rolled her eyes. “Oh, quit teasing. You haven’t exactly been hitting the gym yourself,” she smiled as she quickly scanned her boyfriend’s hefting figure. Though nowhere near her size, it was very obvious he was letting himself go… not that she was complaining.
As she looked back up, her eyes took a moment to meet with his…
And for that split second when their eyes met, everything else fades away. Every passing glance they shared, time slowed to a halt. For a moment, a feeling takes over. Warmth, comfort, joy… love.
Without thinking, their hands touched.
“You know,” Shining spoke softly, “I don’t any reason why we should call it a night. It’s still pretty early.”
Cadence, however, raised an eyebrow as she looked past Shining. “Uh… actually, maybe we should go to my apartment.” She grinned nervously.
Confused, Shining turned back to find that his younger sister was still there.
Twilight’s eyes shimmered with both giddiness and creepiness. “Heh, heh. Don’t mind me. Just love seeing people in love. Especially when it’s my favorite older brother and my favorite baby-sitter/dean.” Her smile grew wide as she continued to watch eagerly.
Shining responded with a half-hearted laugh before glancing back at Cadence, “Yeah, let’s go to your place.”
