Description

For the first time in a long time, Spitfire had felt utterly lost and she felt her eyes pool up with tears that she didnt try to fight. She sobbed into her forelegs letting her sorrow drown the earth beneath her with tears. It was an odd feeling; she so desperately wanted someone there to help her, but pleaded with whatever god that would listen that no one would see her like this. She then felt a strong wind blow through her mane and tail that oddly felt relaxing, and she welcomed it, lifting her tear stained face to meet it.

She found herself staring into deep emerald eyes filled with concern.

Go away, Hero! she shouted as she quickly buried her head in her forelegs again refusing to face him. I want to be alone right now!

Doesnt look like you should be, Captain, Sonic said softly.

What do you know?

I know misery loves company, a small hint of his carefree attitude slipped in between his empathy.

I really dont wanna talk right now, Spitfire sobbed. Please justjust

We dont have to talk, Sonic said quietly as he sat down beside her.

A long moment transpired before Spitfire raised her head up and looked at him. She was a wreck; her coat dark, wet tears under her eyes, under her nose hung snot, crusty where it had dried onto her muzzle, and her eyes red from weeping, her mane frazzled and in disarray.

Y-you wont tell anyone?

What kind of hero would I be if I did?

A dead one, Spitfire managed as a weak smile formed through the tears, which prompted Sonic to grin back. Feeling slightly better, she scooted closer to him, outstretched her fore hooves and rested her head on the cool grass. She felt Sonics hand come to rest on the small of her back as he lay backwards on the grass, and she found that she didnt mind it.
