Pinkie has more bounce than she knows what to do with.
 
This drawing is a great example of me taking a simple idea and getting treacherously close to overthinking it. In the beginning, I just wanted to show a simple, fun scene with these two characters and a bit of dialogue. Once I finished that part, I got to thinking things like: “What more does this need?” “Is the background too plain?” “What if people don’t like it?”
 
There’s a time and a place for questions like that. In this situation, they were starting to sap the enjoyment I got from this drawing.
