Artist’s Description
 
In continuation to the previous submission, the mysterious pegasus left, leaving Bubble to head to bar to meet with Margarite
 
Bubble: enters bar and looks around Oh.. I thought I saw Mako here…
 
Margarite: jabs her thumb in the direction of the ocean He had to go work. Sooo, who was that stallion you were chatting with? A boyfriend or something?
 
Bubble: starts laughing Who, Singe? NOoooo, that’s my cousin! He works at the carnival so I only ever get to see him when its in town.
 
Margarite: lays her hand over her face of course he is… thinks to herself _{that idiot fish….}
 
Bubble: pulling a ticket out of her pocket Speaking of which, would you go with me tonight? Singe gave me some extra tickets and I thought it would be fun if you, me and Mako could go.
 
Margarite: smiles I would love to go. You want me to let Mako know once he gets off work?
 
Bubble: hands Margarite a ticket Nah, it’s fine. I’ll just swing by his shop sometime later today. Meet me at the docks at sunset! as she turns to leave
 
Margarite: out of ears reach This should end well… Maybe.
 
—Later that day—
 
Bubble: knocks on Mako’s front door
 
???: shouting from inside It’s open.
 
Bubble helps herself in and sees an old engine suspended in the middle of the workshop. Peaking underneath it is an orca tail and a pair of matching hooves. The smell of sea water and grease filled the room.
 
Bubble: squats next to the engine and waves Heya~ What are you working on?
 
Mako: grunts An engine I found earlier today. It’s heavily water damaged so I’m not having the best of luck with it… Mako wheels himself out from underneath it and sits up, wiping his brow with a spare rag. He seems a bit tense but puts on a good attitude for her Whats up?
 
Bubble: Well.. I was wondering if you were busy tonight. Me and some other ponies were planning on heading over to the carnival tonight. pauses I.. uh.. thought maybe you’d like to come with.
 
Mako: looks back at the engine Umm.. well with how repairs are going, I don’t know if I would have the time…
 
Bubble: ears fold back, a little crushed … oh..
 
Mako: Er.. but I can make time. Repairs can always wait and its not like its going anywhere anytime soon.
 
Bubble: perks up, a smile across her face Really? That’s great, I’m so excited! as she starts to pull out the ticket, realizing that Mako is covered in dirt and engine oil.
 
Mako: chuckles Thanks for inviting me.
 
Bubble: She sets the ticket on his counter Of course! Meet us at the docks at sunset, okay? goes to leave I can’t wait for you to meet Singe, I’m sure you guys will get along great.
 
Mako: rubs the back before getting back to work Yeah… ‘great’.
