Now there’s one other anthro I have buried into my comp from last year but it needs a total overhaul so IDK when that will ever be out. :P So next best thing was the last anthro I have ever done so far and this was about March 2017 and I polished up a couple things last night on it. I was planning to push out a comic but stuff got really busy late in the week and it needs more than an afternoon to finish so that will be my project this week coming up along with a new pic but I digress. So this Sunset Shimmer here is actually a crossover quite literally perfectly with a character named Shana from Shakugan no Shana….and I swear if you google it you’ll see why I went with Shimmy. ;) She and personality wise I find to be 100% perfectly matched and this anime which I blazed through season 1 wasn’t as bad as people really say it is. I mean I didn’t find it as boring or slow-paced as most people told me before I got into it. I mean the girl is a badass and I’d say in my top 10 of favorite strong female protagonists in anime but near 10 more than top 5 (Revy or Akame battle for #1). So yeah I’d give this anime a look…and I do remember when I vended at Anime Milwaukee from 2013-2017 the DVDs of this anime were by far the most expensive out of all the other numerous shows they had there and I still never have figured out why. :|
 
 
It a little funny with this being the last anthro I worked on since last year that this I think was the anthro that was likely on the verge of getting me into a little more dynamic poses and stuff but that kind of got shelved in a hurry and then season 7 took over. Honestly I know my anthro isn’t anywhere close to being as good as people who do this stuff far far better and even with the help of Icesticker last year with these anthros these have a long way to go but that’s also why I am more of a pony artist than anthro…..my anthros kind of suck…and that’s kind of why I stick to pony. The anthros were kind of born out of the strong anime and pony crossover craze I was doing in late 2015-early 2017 cause some anime characters were impossible to work properly as mane 6 crossovers and stuff so then the anthro stuff popped out. I don’t know if I will touch anthro stuff again cause firstly people absolutely hate anything anthro I do period no matter what I do but also I haven’t gotten the spark to do anthro stuff again since last year. I mean personally if I do pony anthro I would also like to sell it too but those days (as far as pony cons) have left me by and my online sales have gone nowhere. :) Basically if I do pony anthro stuff I need a spark to do it again but also this new style I do kind of has some elements where I can do it now too in more pony than semi-anthro. So honestly we’ll see down the road but so far I’m more focused on rebooting my DBZ/DBS pony series first in the next couple months. It’s been well over 2 years since I’ve visited my favorite anime series crossovers so I think it’s time to reboot them now with the knowledge for DBS.
 
 
So that will do it on this. So with the anthros now done (except for that really bastardized one on my comp) it’s basically strictly pony now. As I said the pony anthros….the interest I gathered people really don’t like me doing them which is ok, fine I guess, but in about a year now there’s no spark or fire to say “ok I want to cross that anime character over with pony, can I make it work pony or is anthro the best way with the clothing and stuff”. That’s the problem. :O But for now…gotta get back to the comics and also I have a spring class I am taking at my local college to build my resume on Tues/Thurs on top of my busy work weekends.
